In 1867, shortly after the Civil War ended, R. Emmott Hare entered the insurance industry by opening his own Insurance Agency in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As this business grew a partnership was formed between Mr. Hare and Mr. Randall Chase and the firm of Hare & Chase was established.

Due to causes lost to history, Mr. Chase eventually left the firm to form a new partnership with Rodman R. Heckman, Sr. and the firm of Chase & Heckman came into existence.

Through the years both Hare & Chase and Chase & Heckman continued as independent organizations representing quality Insurance Companies while providing outstanding service to their respective customers. The firms were friendly competitors with the principals of each firm having a strong professional respect for each other.

As time passed, the principals of Hare & Chase and Chase & Heckman realized that a higher level of customer service could be achieved if the two firms were to merge. Accordingly, in the year 2000, a merger took place and the firm of Hare, Chase & Heckman, Inc. was established with the business being located in Malvern, PA.

At this time Hare, Chase & Heckman, Inc. maintains Agency as well as Brokerage agreements with many of the finest insurance companies that exist.

Our client base, while centered in the surrounding tri-state area, includes businesses from coast to coast and border to border. To serve the needs of these diverse customers, we have separate Commercial Lines and Personal Lines departments which are interlinked through our state-of-the-art computer system.

We are proud to be one of the oldest, privately owned Independent Insurance Agencies and we continue to do business the old fashioned way – with

Tricia M. McKenna-Cichon, President ~ Tricia@harechaseandheckman.com
Tricia started with the agency in 1992 and worked in various departments for the first 10 years of her career. Tricia moved on to brokering national accounts and developing additional insurance knowledge that she was able to bring back to our local customers. Tricia has come back to the agency to further develop her book of business which includes her passion for equestrian sport. This book includes working on equine liability, equine farms, non-profit’s (equine or other), and commercial accounts by focusing on ensuring clients and prospective clients are adequately informed to make decisions regarding their insurance needs. On January 1, 2019, Tricia assumed ownership of Hare, Chase, and Heckman, Inc.

Jeff Cox, Executive Producer ~ Jeff@harechaseandheckman.com
Jeff joined Hare, Chase, and Heckman in 2019. Jeff has been in the sales and marketing industry since 1994. Jeff provides a consistent, needs-based consultative approach to each individual insured. Jeff has a strong background in insuring hospitality risks and contractor risks by focusing on ensuring clients and prospective clients are adequately informed to make decisions regarding their insurance needs.

Mary Zeh, Personal Lines CSR ~ Mary@harechaseandheckman.com
Mary joined Hare, Chase & Heckman in the personal lines as an account manager in 2013.  She started her career in the insurance industry in 1987, working for many years at the Grigson Agency in Downingtown.  To her, insurance is about relationships and trust, both with our customers and with the companies we represent.  Her goal is to make sure our customers are getting the best coverage, not just the lowest price.

Linda joined Hare, Chase & Heckman as an account manager in September of 2000. Linda loves to walk our customers through “the maze of insurance” from their first automobile and apartment policies to their families, homes, and businesses.  “We know our clients and they know us”.

Ashley A. Cichon – Clerical – Personal Lines and Equestrian Insurance Marketing
Ashley joined Hare, Chase, and Heckman in the Summer of 2017 and works part-time to help with renewal paperwork for our equestrian program book of business. Ashley is an equestrian with knowledge of the sports disciplines and horses in general. Her knowledge has been a huge asset to our Horse/Pony Mortality and Major Medical program.
